“Notice the motorcycle’s registration number (PB-11-AN-1055)?” said Jakhar. “The Punjab government showed it as that of a truck that shipped grain to warehouses.” “The Congress will drive this motorcycle to all its rallies before the assembly elections, to tell people about the fraud,” he said. “After the polls, we’ll gift it to deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal to set him on a pilgrimage.”

He demanded that the scam case be moved to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), referring to a CAG (comptroller and accountant general) report that of 3,232 vehicles shown as food-grain trucks, only 87 could be traced, and the rest were two-wheelers or cars.
