Ranike to inaugurate dairy seminar at vet varsity

Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) will organise a one-day seminar on “Innovations in Dairy Farming” at the Silver Jubilee Auditorium of the varsity on Thursday.

Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) will organise a one-day seminar on “Innovations in Dairy Farming” at the Silver Jubilee Auditorium of the varsity on Thursday.

The seminar will be held in collaboration with the Punjab Dairy Development Board.

Gulzar Singh Ranike, cabinet minister for animal husbandry, fisheries and dairy development, will be the chief guest on the occasion. Inderjit Singh, director, Punjab Dairy Development Board, will deliver the keynote of seminar.

VK Taneja, vice-chancellor, will be the guest of honour. Ranjodhan Singh Sahota, director of extension education, GADVASU, said the seminar would address innovations in dairy farming with special emphasis on new techniques adopted by Israel in this profession.

A progressive dairy farmer, Sukhharpreet Singh Rode, who recently visited Israel with a delegation of Punjab's officials and farmers, will share his experience from that country.
