A man was arrested from Punjab by Gurugram police for sending vulgar videos to a saleswoman and a woman police officer who was investigating the case after a complaint was registered against him.

The accused, identified as Sukhjender Singh, 25, who works as a tailor in Punjab’s Jalandhar, was arrested on Sunday. Sukhjender started sending obscene messages to a saleswoman working in a mall here under the jurisdiction of sadar police station, assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Manish Sehgal said.

The saleswoman, hailing from Uttarakhand, registered an FIR against the accused.
“He was arrested from Jalandhar on the basis of technical evidence. We are investigating the case further,” ACP Sehgal added.
Note: An earlier version of the report said the man allegedly sent obscene videos to a policewoman too. That has been denied by the police.
