Thieves steal cash, gold from a house in Tarn Taran

Owner of the house, Satnam, said that they were sleeping in the courtyard of the house, when the thieves entered the house through the window of a back room.

Unidentified persons decamped with Rs 50,000 and jewellery from a house in Shishrewal village, Tarn Taran, on late Wednesday night.

Owner of the house, Satnam, said that they were sleeping in the courtyard of the house, when the thieves entered the house through the window of a back room.

The thieves fled after stealing cash worth Rs 50 thousand, 4 watches and some jewelry, he added.

He said, “We woke up in morning and came to know about the incident.”

A team of Chabhal police reached the spot and started the investigation.

Station house officer (SHO) Chabhal, Harchand Singh said, a case will be registered against unidentified thieves. The culprits would be arrested soon, he claimed.
