Three killed, two injured in road accidents

Three persons were killed and two others injured in separate road accidents in Patiala district today.

Police said Sneh Gupta of Model Town died on the spot when a tractor driven by Bhajan Singh rammed his scooter. The victim was returning home from market when the accident occurred. The accused managed to flee the spot.

In another accident, truck driver Beera Ram was fatally hit by an unidentified vehicle while he was crossing a road after parking his truck.

Meanwhile, police said an unidentified person was killed near Green Park Colony on the Sirhind Road. The body has been sent to Government Rajindra Hospital for post mortem.

In another mishap, Ajay Kumar and his friend Raman, both residents of Kaithal in Haryana, received multiple injuries when their car collided with a truck coming from Patiala side on the Pehowa Road.
