Two city-based youth were swept away in Gobind Sagar lake when they had reportedly gone to pay obeisance at Peer Nigahe Wala, a religious shrine, in Una district on Sunday morning.

The victims have been identified as Sukhdev, 24 and Paramjeet, 23, of Badri colony Phase-1 near Basti Danishmandan.
A group of six youth had left for the trip over bikes on Saturday evening. On Saturday late night, they visited the shrine and on Sunday morning, they went towards the lake to enjoy the dip when the accident occurred.
After getting the information, Una Police called the family members to the spot on Sunday afternoon.
A pall of gloom descended in the entire locality. Political leaders and residents met the families of the deceased and tried to console them.
The deceased worked in a football factory.
