Two-wheeler set on fire in group clash

A clash took place between t wo groups in Dhamotiya Colony at Tibba road on Sunday evening over some monetary issue. Both sides pelted each other with stones. One of the groups also vandalised a motorcycle of rival group and set it on fire. At least three people have suffered injuries in the clash.

The situation was brought under control by the police. Since no one has approached the police with a complaint, the police have summoned members of both the groups.

Raman and Rani of Dhamotiya Colony alleged that they had some monetary issue with a woman of the area. They had gone to her house to get their money back, but the woman allegedly called her accomplices, who attacked them. After that a clash ensued, they said.

Basti Jodhewal SHO inspector Randhir Singh said the police took swift action and controlled the situation. The SHO said that no complaint had been received and action would be taken after talking to both the parties.
