These quarters are occupied by the Government Railway Police (GRP) staff and other railway employees.
There is no proper sewerage in the area as all toilets are blocked and the residents are forced to use public toilets located outside the railway station meant for passengers.

“We have got used to this. We have complained to the authorities concerned several times but to no avail.

Even at night, we have to use this common toilet,” an employee living in these quarters said.

“The issue has been taken up many times but there is no relief in sight as we are not getting any facility. We have been facing this for decades now,” another occupant said. The situation worsens during the rainy season as there are waterlogged spots in the locality even as monsoon has not arrived yet.

SK Singh, additional divisional railway manager (ADRM), said “We will look into the matter and provide all possible help for the convenience of residents.”
