Rina Dhibar, a resident of Gobindpur, who attempted suicide on Sunday evening, is recovering at the PMCH.

Nimay Dhibar, the girl’s father, said her daughter wanted to continue studies. “But I decided to stop her studies against her will as my financial condition is not sound enough to bear her expenses. I never thought she would take such a step,” said Dhibar.

“Doctors attending on her have said she is out of danger,” said Dhibar, adding he would manage finances for her further studies.
