2.0 audio launch in Dubai is the biggest event to be organised by the Tamil film industry for a launch. Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, Shankar, AR Rahman and Amy Jackson are already in Dubai and pictures of them in the chopper making their way to Burj al Arab has surfaced online. The cast and crew of the film addressed the media.
At the press conference, the media posed questions to Rajinikanth and asked why he was humble. To this, the actor said, “Nobody pays me to act in my real life. So I am simple.” Akshay Kumar was asked about his experience working with Rajinikanth and he replied, “I have to do five more films with Rajinikanth to learn a lot more from him.”
The team also announced that there will be only three songs in the film, of which two will be released on October 27. The third one will be released at a later date. Director Shankar, about making a sequel said, “We haven’t made 2.0 for the sake of sequel, our film will encourage 3D films in India.”
The pictures of the stage where the music launch is to happen have also been posted by Raju Mahalingam of Lyca Productions and it seems like the audio is set to be launched on a grand platform. While it is expected that the King of Dubai might attend the launch, speculations are also rife that Kamal Haasan might be present as well. However, there is no confirmation on that.

The film is set to release during the Republic Day weekend, while people in the know say that the trailer would release on Rajinikanth’s birthday, December 12. The sequel of Enthiran, 2.0 stars Rajinikanth as Dr Vaseegaran and Chitti. This time, Thailaivar might not be the only antagonist, as Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has taken over. It looks like the film might be about genetic research gone wrong (from the looks of Akshay in the film), and fans await for the release with bated breath.
Other than the royal guest, audience at the launch will also get to see AR Rahman perform live on stage with 126 Symphony.
