Anu Emmanuel is Allu Arjun’s lead heroine in Naa Peru Surya

Naa Peru Surya, Allu Arjun’s new film to be directed by V Vamsi, will feature actor Anu Emmanuel as its lead heroine.

Popular writer Vakkantham Vamsi, known for his contribution to hit films such as Kick and Temper, turns director with upcoming Allu Arjun starrer Telugu action flick Naa Peru Surya, which is slated to go on the floors later in July. On Sunday, the makers confirmed that actor Anu Emmanuel, currently shooting for Pawan Kalyan’s yet-untitled Telugu film, has been finalised as the leading heroine. Tamil actors Sarath Kumar and Arjun will be seen playing pivotal roles in the film, which will be high on action and emotions.

Apparently, Vamsi was supposed to make his directorial debut nearly two years ago when a leading star promised to work with him. Unfortunately, the project never took off and Vamsi had to wait, hoping things would magically become alright. They didn’t and he was shattered as his long wait to don the director’s hat didn’t come true. Finally, when he pitched the story to Arjun, he immediately agreed to do the project. While most top stars have second thoughts about working with a newcomer, Arjun is teaming up with Vamsi because he believed in the script and his vision.

The film will have music by Vishal-Sekhar duo and popular cinematographer-filmmaker Rajeev Ravi will crank the camera and this project marks his Telugu debut.

Anu Emmanuel has worked in film likes Swapna Sanchari and Action Hero Biju in the past.
