The teaser of SS Rajamouli’s ambitious new project Baahubali is out. Set in the times of kings and queens, the 20-second teaser fittingly opens with a war scene, with barren, dusty mountains in the backdrop. As the camera moves, its glides past a couple of stone soldiers standing on guard.

The teaser introduces us to the two main characters in this period drama -- Bhallava Deva, the antagonist (played by Rana Daggubati) and of course, Baahubali (also called Sivudu, played by Prabhas).
The teaser shows us a little more of Bhallava Deva – we see his armour and head gear. At the start, the teaser also shows an axe-wielding fighter, only it is not clear who that character is.
The unknown axe-wielding warrior is seen wearing some kind of loose pajama-style pants. Just that it takes a bit of stretched imagination to think of South Indian warriors opting for such pants those days.

{{/usCountry}}The music does justice to the film's epic proportions: it's loud, and the drum beats and bugles dominate the show. You also hear the sounds of unleashing of weapons, like a metal clashing with metal.
We've seen well-executed large-scale war scenes in films like Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Jodha Akbar, but Rajamouli’s Baahubali certainly looks technically more sound – a note of appreciation to ARKA Mediaworks for their brilliant artworks.
