Actor Samantha Akkineni turns 32 on Sunday and she was greeted with wishes from her colleagues and friends on social media. Actors Chinmayi Sripada,Trisha Krishnan and Rana Daggubati extended their warm wishes for Samantha on Sunday. Samantha’s fans made sure she was among the top trends on Twitter - #HBDSamanthaAkkineni and #HBDVersatileQueenSamantha were among the top 10 trends in India by the afternoon.

Having worked in Tamil and Telugu films, Samantha has four Filmfare Awards to her credit. She began her showbiz journey with modelling projects and then transitioned to films. Samantha made her onscreen debut in 2010, with Gautham Menon’s critically acclaimed Telugu film, Ye Maaya Chesave, and also bagged her first Filmfare - she was awarded the Filmfare for Best Debut Actress.

Samantha won both the Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Actress and the Filmfare Award for Best Telugu Actress in 2012, for her performances in Neethaane En Ponvasantham and Eega.
