The sudden passing away of veteran Telugu actor-politician Nandamuri Harikrishna on August 29 has left his family and fans in deep shock and grief. The late actor-politician was cremated on August 30. In all the pictures and videos that have emerged online, some of the most heart-wrenching ones are those of his son and popular Telugu actor Jr NTR.
In many pictures Jr NTR looks absolutely crestfallen and teary-eyed and in many others, he just can’t stop crying. According to a DNA report, NTR’s good friend and actor Manchu Manoj was by his side throughout the funeral ceremony.
Harikrishna died in a road accident in Telangana on Wednesday morning. The 61-year-old was father to Telugu actors Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram.

{{/usCountry}}According to Nalgonda police, 61-year-old Harikrishna, who was driving at a very high speed, lost control of the vehicle, which rammed the road divider at Anaparthi village and hit another vehicle on the other side of the highway before overturning. The TDP leader suffered severe head injuries and was immediately brought to Kamineni super speciality hospital at Narketpalli, a few kilometres away. He breathed his last at around 7: 45 am.
Harikrishna’s elder son Nandamuri Janakiram was also killed in a similar road accident on the same highway three years ago. Jr NTR too met with an accident closer to the same highway while campaigning for the TDP during the 2009 elections.
Harikrishna, the son of former Andhra Pradesh chief minister NT Rama Rao, belongs to the first family of former Andhra Pradesh state (now Andhra and Telangana). Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandra Babu Naidu is his brother-in-law.
