Kajol and Dhanush’s new Tamil film Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 (VIP 2) hits the screens today. While the duo along with their director Soundarya Rajinikanth have been promoting the film for the last few weeks, Kajol has made one final bid to promote it by posting a short video on her Instagram page on Thursday.
Dressed in a peach-pink sequinned sari, Bollywood’s golden girl Kajol requested people to watch her film VIP 2 . “Hi guys, so VIP 2 is finally releasing tomorrow and you really, really need to go and watch it. It is releasing worldwide and in Tamil tomorrow and in Hindi and Telugu on the 18th. Go watch it.”
VIP 2 marks Kajol’s return to Tamil films after a hiatus of 20 years. The bubbly actor was last seen on the Tamil silver screen in Minsara Kanavu back in 1997 where she starred with Arvind Swami and Prabhudheva. In VIP 2, she is pitted against superstar Dhanush. Speaking about her role, Kajol had earlier said that both have strong characters. Kajol plays a suave and conniving businesswoman named Vasundhara.
