Kayamkulam Kochunni first look: Mohanlal looks unrecognisable as Ithikkarapakki. See pics
Actor Nivin Pauly shared the first look picture of Mohanlal from the upcoming Malayalam film, Kayamkulam Kochunni. The film stars Nivin in the lead role.
If you found Mohanlal’s trimmed down look from the upcoming film Odiyan surprising, then the first look from Nivin Pauly-starrer Kayamkulam Kochunni will daze you even further. The picture, which is a close-up of Mohanlal, shows him with a gentle beard. He sports a thicker and bigger moustache and can be seeing winking (not to the camera though). His hair too is tussled and cut short. It is unclear what Mohanlal is wearing but we do see a grey-coloured cloth, worn like a gamchaa (towel). He will play a character called Ithikkarapakki.
Sharing the picture, actor Nivin wrote: “First look of Lalettan as #ithikkarapakki in #Kayamkulamkochunni.Excitement couldn’t get any better! @Mohanlal.”

Kayamkulam Kochunni is an upcoming Malayalam film, written by Bobby-Sanjay and directed by Rosshan Andrrews. The story is centered around a popular highwayman called Kayamkulam Kochunni, who lived in the 19th century. He, like Robin Hood, would steal from the rich and give it to the poor. Kochunni died in jail in 1859. A devout Muslim, who prayed five times a day, he developed a dislike for the rich (money leaders and landlords) as he had grown up in abject poverty.
Kayamkulam Kochunni also stars Priya Anand, Priyanka Thimmesh, Babu Antony and Sunny Wayne in pivotal roles. The music for the film is composed by Gopi Sundar and the project is bankrolled by Sree Gokulam Films.
