Nuvve Na Pranamani to be Mohanlal's comeback Telugu film

Malayalam actor Mohanlal will play a cop in the upcoming Telugu rural romantic drama Nuvve Na Pranamani. The actor is returning to Telugu films after a gap of 20 years. The film features debutant Suraj and Kavita Radheshyam in the lead.

"It's a rural love story laced with action and drama. Mohanlal sir is playing a very strong role of a policeman. It will be an honour for me to share screen space with him," said Kavita.

To be directed by debutant Suresh Vamshi, the film also features Ali, Jayaprakash Reddy and a host of other supporting actors. Mohanlal's last appearance in Telugu filmdom was in 1994 film Gandeevam. He did a cameo song in the film, which was directed by his Malayalam counterpart Priyadarshan.
