Prabhudheva, Tamannaah and director Vijay to team up for Devi sequel

Tamil director Vijay may helm the sequel of Prabhudheva’s hit horror-comedy film Devi. Tamannaah Bhatia is likely to reprise her role.

Choreographer turned actor/director Prabhudheva had recently met Tamil director Vijay and discussed a possible idea to team up for the sequel to their hit horror-comedy film ‘Devi(L)’. The film was a decent hit in Tamil Nadu whereas the Hindi and Telugu versions, Tutak Tutak Tutiya and Abhinetri, had bombed at the box office.

The horror-comedy film Devi was a hit in Tamil but flopped in its Telugu and Hindi versions.

Tamannaah Bhatia is likely to reprise her role in the sequel. “Lately, Tamannaah and Prabhudheva share a good equation. After Devi, they are currently working on the Hindi remake of Nayanthara’s Kolayuthir Kaalam,” said a source close to the development. HT has learnt that Prabhu Deva is impressed with Tamannaah’s dedication, especially by the way she rehearses for dance sequences and how she works hard to get her lines right.
