On the eve of legendary late actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s birthday on Thursday, September 21, the trailer of his son Nagarjuna starrer Raju Gari Gadhi 2, in which he plays a mentalist, was released amid high expectations. A sequel to the highly successful Raju Gari Gadhi, the film is rumoured to be the remake of Malayalam film Pretham. In the film, Samantha Ruth Prabhu plays a ghost, and the trailer gives us a glimpse of her character that is set to take revenge.
The trailer opens with the lines -- a soul can’t be destroyed by a weapon, the fire can’t burn it, water can’t wet it and air has no capacity to move it. The soul cannot be destroyed. We get a quick glimpse of Samantha as the wandering soul and as the camera moves in her, she disappears into thin air. We are told that a resort - where the film’s lead characters have come to chill -- is haunted. We are told that only one person can solve the mystery of the resort. Amid verses of chants, we are introduced to Nagarjuna, and he can read what’s in a person’s heart by looking into their eyes. We also get quick glimpse Seerat Kapoor, who plays a pivotal role in the film. Could it be possible that she could also be a ghost? Because when Nagarjuna says the ghost is of a woman’s soul, the camera cuts to Seerat. Nagarjuna informs the soul is seeking revenge.
Directed by Ohmkar, it is believed Samantha plays a career-defining role in the film. A source said that her character has a very strong emotional arc and that will instantly click big time with audiences and move them to tears.
