Directed by Vikram Kumar, the film will be produced by Suriya's home banner 2D Entertainment. Twin Oscar winner AR Rahman is expected to compose music for the film. Reports suggest that there will be another heroine in a short role.

Speaking to media, Vikram Kumar said that Samantha's role won't be restricted to song and dance sequences alone. Her character will make people laugh a lot.
