Actor Trisha has been in the industry for over a decade but it looks like 2017 is going to be the busiest year of her career. With nearly half a dozen projects in her kitty, she has never been this busy and she has proved all her haters wrong. It wasn’t long ago that Trisha was written off, especially after she ended her engagement in 2015. Many believed she won’t get offers anymore and opportunities to star opposite the leading heroes. While she may not have landed offers to act with the top stars, she has excellent line up of films in her kitty.

On Monday, Trisha began work on her sixth project of the year titled 96, and it also stars Vijay Sethupathi. At the film’s launch, on teaming up with Trisha, her co-star Vijay Sethupathi said, “When I did Naanum Rowdy Dhan with Nayanthara, she was in the peak of her career - I was apprehensive about her willingness to act with me. Similarly, Trisha is very talented and has a huge fan following. I wondered if she would agree to be a part of the film, but she liked the script very much and has come on board.”

Trisha also has Garjanai, Tamil remake of NH10, in the pipeline, apart from projects such as Sathuranga Vettai 2, Mohini and 1818. This year also marks her Malayalam debut with Nivin Pauly-starrer Jude. Trisha is very much in the big league but her choice of films has changed and that’s a good things. She is no longer after star heroes and is keen to take up of women-centric projects.
