Mohanlal’s upcoming movie, Villain, is all set to release on October 27, and actors Vishal and Hansika Motwani couldn’t be happier. The two actors will be making their debut in the Malayalam industry with this film, directed by B Unni Krishnan. After playing a teacher to great success in the Onam release, Velipadinte Pushthakam, the Mollywood superstar will be portraying a grey character in Villain. While Jimikki Kammal is still a popular song across India thanks to the many covers and Mohanlal himself grooving to the song, Villain might not have any light-hearted moments.

The film also marks the Malayalam debut of Tollywood actor Srikanth. Manju Warrier, who was last seen in Udaharanam Sujatha, will also be seen in a cameo. From the teasers that we have seen so far, it looks like she is paired opposite Mohanlal in the film. Hansika will portray the role of Sreya, a singer. Vishal will portray the role of Shaktivel Palaniswamy, and will confront Mohanlal in the film. Srikanth will play the role of Felix D Vincent. Also playing a pivotal role in the film is Raashi Khanna.
The film, which is slated to release after Diwali, is produced by Rockline Entertainments and recently received a ‘U’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification. The film is scored by Sushin Shyam.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal is also working for his first project with VA Shrikumar Menon, titled Odiyan, for which he recently shot in Varanasi. This film will also star Manju Warrier and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles.
