Mohanlal’s next film, Villain, will release on October 27. The film has created quite a buzz thanks to its slick production and the fact that it has a bevy of stars. News is the film is likely to get tremendous support from star Mohanlal’s various fans and their clubs.
According to a report in The News Minute, Villain is likely to break the record of Pulimurugan, Mohanlal’s last film, in the exclusive screenings it will have for the star’s fans. Pulimurugan, when it released last year, had 125 exclusive shows for fans. Villain may break that record and have as many 130 fan shows.
As of October 19, there were 120 such shows already arranged and the numbers were expected to go up, closer to the day of release.
Villain, directed by B Unnikrishnan, is a thriller, where Mohanlal plays a retired cop. A crisis leads him to return to the forces. Playing his wife is the Malayalam actor Manju Warrier. The film will also see the Malyalam debut of popular Tamil and Telugu actors. While Hansika Motwani and Vishal from the Tamil film industry are making their Malayalam debut, Telugu film actor Raashi Khanna too will be seen in a Malayalam film for the first time.
