MUNICH: A Munich confectioner is scoring with Euro 2016-themed cakes, although some of the patisserie predictions are proving a little off target. ‘Muncher Freiheit’ are making more than 60 football pitch cakes a week, complete with marzipan replicas of their favourite players and often score predictions written in icing. One such sweet tip predicted Germany would beat Northern Ireland 2-0 on Tuesday, but the world champions could only win 1-0 in Paris as both teams advanced to the knockout stages.
