Soccer-United boss Ferguson fined and banned for referee insult

Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson was banned from the touchline for four matches, two of which were suspended, and fined 20,000 pounds ($33,150) by the English FA on Thursday.

Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson was banned from the touchline for four matches, two of which were suspended, and fined 20,000 pounds ($33,150) by the English FA on Thursday.

At a hearing in London, Ferguson admitted a charge of improper conduct for criticising referee Alan Wiley following United's 2-2 draw with Sunderland at Old Trafford on Oct. 3
