WWE Night of Champions 2023 Highlights: Asuka ended Bianca Belair's reign as the Raw Women's Champion

WWE Night of Champions 2023 Highlights: In a dramatic end to WWE Night of Champions, The Usos betrayed Roman Reigns, which also cost him and Solo Sikoa the match against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. However, it was a good outing for Roman's former Shield partner Seth “Freakin” Rollins, who defeated AJ Styles to become the new WWE Heavyweight Champion. Brock Lesnar produced a dominant show against an equally challenging Cody Rhodes before referee stopped the fight and declared Lesnar the winner. In other fights, Asuka ended Bianca Belair's reign as the Raw Women's Champion, while Trish Stratus stunned Becky Lynch after some assist from Zoey Stark. Meanwhile, Gunther and Rhea Ripley demolished their respective opponents to successfully defend their Intercontinental and SmackDown Women's Championship titles. Owens clears up the table but The Usos show up and take Kevin Owens down. They then take try to take down Sami Zayn but in the process they hurt Solo.
Roman Reigns is not happy and he tries to send them away, but Jimmy Uso has had enough and he superkicks Roman Reigns not once but twice.
Kevin Owens joins the scene and hits Solo and Sami seals the win with The Helluva Kick.
Roman sits outside the ring with his heads down and is being mocked by Sami.
Sami yells at Roman “You can't have them!”
That's the story. The Bloodline is done.
WWE Night of Champions Live: Non stop action
Sami goes for The Helluva Kick but Solo counters the move with a Super Kick.
However, Sami regains control and connects The Helluva Kick on Solo and goes for a cover, which is broken by Roman.
In the commotion, Roman ends up hitting the referee with a spear and Sami hits Roman with a Superman Punch and Roman does the same against Sami.
Kevin Owens joins the party, bangs Roman's head on the announce table and then sends Romans crashing on the steel steps.
WWE Night of Champions Live: A stunner and a spear
Kevin Owens finds himself in action against Reigns and he is the one who is in control. Owens then shifts his attention towards Solo but Reigns regains control following the momentarily distraction.
Owens then manages to escape a Superman punch by Roman and hits the latter with a powerbomb. Goes for the cover but a near fall.
Owens then hits Roman with a stunner but then gets hit by a spear immediately.
Both the stars make tags.

Solo sends Sami outside and as Roman tries to use it to his advantage, Sami counters. Solo joins the action but Sami bangs his head on the announce table. The action shifts inside as Solo takes Kevin out with a kick to his face.
He then shifts his action towards Sami, who counters with DDT and makes the tag.

Roman sends Sami outside the ring and now it's Solo, who launches a vicious attack on Sami. Kevin Owens interrupts before referee directs him to move to his corner.
WWE Night of Champions Live: Clever strategy by Roman
Roman, who is yet to introduce himself, takes down Kevin Owens to distract Sami Zayn and Solo uses it to his advantage.
After landing a few blows on Sami, Solo then tags Roman, who maintains the dominance.
WWE Night of Champions Live: Solo - The Enforcer
Solo gets thing started on a dominating note, pushes Sami in the corner and launches a series of punches and chops on Sami, before the two is separated by the referee.
Sami then tags Kevin Owens, who is then taken down by Solo, which tells you about the immense power he possess.
WWE Night of Champions Live: Too much history involved
Roman Reigns will kick-off the match against Roman Reigns.
Crowd chants “Sami Zayn”, while Roman trash talks Zayn “they won't know you without me”. He then shouts “I should have never let you in”. Plenty of history between Reigns and Zayn. Meanwhile, The Tribal chief tags Solo, who then starts the match.

Paul Heyman introduces Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, following which Sami Zayn grabs the mic from the official announcer and makes a special announcement in Arabic.
The crowd is riled up.

Sami Zayn makes his way to the ring in the traditional Saudi Arabian outfit. Kevin Owens is in his usual attire.
Sami is truly a crowd favourite as he gets a better reception than Roman.
WWE Night of Champions Live: Big match for Roman Reigns
The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa along with the wise man Paul Heyman make their way to the ring for the main event.
They challenge Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for the Tag Team titles.
WWE Night of Champions Live: Brock Lesnar picks up the win
Brock once again gets the Kimura on Cody, who then passes away. The referee asks the match to be stopped as Lesnar wins the match. However, he is greeted by boos and Lesnar doesn't like it at all.
WWE Night of Champions Live: Insane stuff by Cody and Lesnar
Cody finally manages to get hold of the bottom rope and the arena loves it.
Lesnar tries to get his breath back and then goes for a F5, however, Cody counters and hits Lesnar with a Cross Rhodes. This is incredible stuff as Cody goes for the cover but Lesnar breaks it at two.
Lesnar then F5s Cody and goes for the cover, and Cody kicks out at two.
WWE Night of Champions Live: Cody in immense pain
Brock has got Cody in a Kimura lock. He is in pain and Brock looks to inflict more damage on his already injured arm.
Cody is resisting, the referee asks him if he wants to stop but Cody being Cody says “NO”.
WWE Night of Champions Live: Cody Rhodes surprises Lesnar
The referee signals to ring the bell and the match starts. Rhodes is inside the ring with an injured arm, which is heavily strapped.
Lesnar goes for the attack and Cody evades and goes outside and yells “You Wanna Fight” at Lesnar.
The action moves inside the ring and Lesnar gets hold of Rhodes and hits him with a couple of German Suplex.
Rhodes is using his strapped hands as a weapon and sends Lesnar out of the ring. He dives on top of him as Lesnar is close to the announce table.
Lesnar is in danger as Rhodes is the one with early advantage.
WWE Night of Champions Live: Brock Lesnar vs Cody Rhodes
"Here Comes The Pain" - Only oldschool WWE fans will relate to this. The music pops and in walks The Beast Brock Lesnar. He looks angry and this isn't good sign for Cody Rhodes.
Cody Rhodes, who had earlier defeated Lesnar in WWE Backlash, makes his way to the ring. The whole arena is singing and the atmosphere is unreal. Pure goosebumps moment for everyone in the arena.
WWE Night of Champions Live: Rhea Ripley ends Natalya's challenge within minutes
Rhea Ripley ends Natalya's challenge even before the match could get started. She is taken off guard by Rhea Ripley as she chats with Dominik Mysterio, who stands outside.
Two crash on the steel steps, followed by a Riptide and that's more than enough to secure her a win.
The fans are shocked.
WWE Night of Champions Live: Asuka is the new Raw Women's Champion
The action moves outside and Belair sends Asuka crashing on the steel steps, before dragging her inside the ring.
Asuka then tries to attack Bianca with the mist, which she escapes. This gets the champ frustrated, who then goes for the KOD. Asuka counters and locks Bianca with an armbar.
Belair breaks the lock and while she lies in the the ring, Asuka blows the mist on her hands. The referee has no idea. Belair goes for the KOD and Asuka cleverly rubs the mist on Belair's eyes.
Belair is in trouble as Asuka hits the champ with a kick and then goes for the cover. 1, 2, 3 and Asuka wins the match. The Empress of Tomorrow does the unthinkable and is now the new Raw Women's Champion.
WWE Night of Champions Live: Asuka regains control
Asuka regains control and locks in Belair with an armbar. Despite the pain, Belair lifts Asuka in the same position and sends her crashing in the ring.
Both indulge in quick covers before Asuka sends Belair down on the canvas with a powerful kick.
WWE Night of Champions Live: Belair tries to build momentum
Belair now tries to build some momentum as she hits Asuka with a suplex. Gets her in the corner and climbs to the second rope and launches a barrage of punches before Asuka manages to evade once again by using her opponent's braids.
WWE Night of Champions Live: Asuka shows good intent
Belair sends Asuka outside the ring and then look to go out, but Asuka grabs her braid and sends her crashing on the steel steps.
The action moves inside as Asuka is the one in control, going for quick covers, which Biance Belair manages to break easily.
WWE Night of Champions Live: ‘You wanna face me’
Asuka and Bianca Belair waste no time and go straight at each other.
Belair gets Asuka on the canvas and yells “You wanna face me”. However, the momentum shifts as Asuka rolls and connects a kick on her belly.

We now have the match for the Raw Women's Championship. The first one to make her way to the ring is the challenger Asuka.
Bianca Belair joins her in the ring as Asuka stares at the champ.
WWE Night of Champions Live: Gunther successfully defends his title
The match doesn't last very long and as expected Gunther successfully defends his Intercontinental title. He wins the match with a powerbomb followed by a cover.
WWE Night of Champions Live: Mustafa Ali lights up the arena
Mustafa Ali is hit by a couple of chops by Gunther before he counters and powerbombs Gunther right in the middle of the ring. He then connects a 450 splash and Gunther is now frustrated.
Gunther manages to regain control and keeps Ali on the canvas, while he stands tall.
