Kamal Haasan invites Stalin, Rajinikanth for meet on Cauvery water dispute

Kamal Haasan’s Makkal Needhi Maiam party is organising a meeting of various parties and farmers ‘ bodies on May 19 in Chennai to discuss the Cauvery issue.

Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) president and actor Kamal Haasan on Monday met DMK leader MK Stalin and invited him for a meeting on the Cauvery dispute on May 19.

MNM sources said Haasan met Stalin at the DMK headquarters in Chennai and invited his party to attend the meeting.

Haasan also spoke to his contemporary and aspiring politician Rajinikanth over phone and invited him for the meet, the sources said.

MNM is organising a meeting of various parties and farmers ‘ bodies on May 19 here to discuss the Cauvery issue, they added.

Earlier, the Centre had submitted its draft Cauvery management scheme before a bench of the Supreme Court in Delhi.
