Just over a week after a painful Wimbledon loss to Novak Djokovic, Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer was back in action busy winning hearts outside the tennis court.Federer flew into Malawi on Sunday to open a childcare centre funded by his charity the Roger Federer Foundation, which has been involved in early childhood care and education in the southeast African nation since 2011.
The world No 2 spent hours with school children in its capital Lilongwe and later tweeted about his experience and shared photos on the micro-blogging platform.

Just a month back, the foundation had announced a new initiative to assure a better transition to primary school for the Malawian children coming from the supported preschools.

According to the RF foundation's website, the total budget of the project will be around 740,000 CHF (Swiss francs). The foundation is implementing its goals with the help of a local NGO - Development from People to People.
