Rafael Nadal, who lost to Roger Federer in an epic Australian Open final, aspires to be the president of Real Madrid C.F football club in the future.

The former World No 1, who ended up as runners-up in the Australian Open recently, dropped a hint of heading the powerful Madrid club.

“If you ask me if I would like it, of course I would, why not?” he said, via El Mundo.

However, the 14-time Grand Slam champion also said that the Real Madrid dream may be an unlikely prospect. “But there is more to it... I think it will not be,” he said.

Nadal said Real Madrid might not require him even as he praised the current president Florentino Perez. “We are very good as we are,” Nadal said.

“We have a great president right now and I don’t think Real Madrid need me, but we never know what can happen in the future. It is not something I can raise today,” said Nadal.
