Leopard cub found dead in Uttarakhand’s Nainital

This is not the first incident of a leopard death in the state this year. On October 17, a one-year-old leopard cub was found dead in Pithoragarh. On October 22, 2020, a leopard was found dead in the forests of Ramnagar. Last week, three leopard foetuses were found in Almora district.

Leopard which killed woman and child in Uttarakhand, shot dead

It was among the three leopards which were declared ‘maneaters’ by the Uttarakhand forest department in the last one month. Out of the three animals, two have now been killed.

A one-and-half-year old child in Udal village under Bhaisiya Chhana block of Almora was killed by the leopard in front of his mother on Monday while he was playing in the courtyard.

Police book owner of PG after 26-year-old employee electrocuted

The deceased, identified as Surendra Kumar, of Almora in Uttarakhand, came to the city eight months ago and had been working here since then.
A 26-year-old man, who worked as a helper at a paying guest (PG) accommodation in Sector 55, was allegedly electrocuted while he was mopping the floor in the balcony of the PG basement on Monday afternoon, the police said.
