Anil Kapoor is a veteran Bollywood actor. He is brother of Boney Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor. He gained his education from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. Anil Kapoor made his Bollywood debut with a small role in 1979 film Hamare Tumhare.

He made a mark in the film industries with Meri Jung, Karma, Mr. India, Tezaab, Ram Lakhan, Parinda, Lamhe, Beta and many others. He made his international debut with Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire and received a Screen Actors Guild Award. He sang the songs Tere Bina Main Nahin Mere Bina Tu Nahin and I Love You. He is married to Sunita Bhavnani. He has two daughters Sonam and Rhea Kapoor and a son Harsh Varddhan Kapoor.
