“These are spacious flats, located on the Delhi-Noida border and are well-connected to the rest of the city via Metro and other public transport system. There is a dual piping system as the complex has its own sewer treatment plant. The most important thing is that each flat has two parking slots. The Rs 2.1 crore cost is as per the market rate,” said a senior DDA official.

A total of 1,354 flats are to be launched out of which 230 are HIG flats in Dwarka , Vasant Kunj, Jasola, and 704 are MIG category flats in Jasola and Dwarka. Around 275 flats in Manglapuri and Dwarka, have been set aside for the economically weaker sections. The remaining fall under LIG category flats in Rohini.

DDA requests Delhi govt to revise compensatory plantation policy

Citing land constraints, the land-owning agency has requested the government to revise the number of trees to be planted under compensatory plantation from 10 saplings to two for every tree that is cut.

DDA to announce new housing scheme, offer 1,175 new flats

Of the 1,175 flats, 700 will be in the Middle Income Group (MIG) category, 200 in the High Income Group (HIG) category and the rest will be in the economically weaker section. The flats are located in south-west Delhi’s Dwarka and south-east Delhi’s Jasola.

Residents Welfare Associations (RWAs) have pointed out several issues with MPD-2021 such as rampant commercialisation due to mixed land-use policy, frequent amendments to the plan regularise “illegal” developments and lack of implementation of the provisions under the plan.
