Realty expert to help DDA review schemes, boost flats sale

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has hired a private marketing agency and a real estate advisor to boost sales of its unsold inventory of flats. The move comes after the DDA incurred losses of over ₹18,000 crore in the last financial year. The marketing agency will handle advertising and promotion, while the real estate advisor will conduct a market analysis to determine why the flats remain unsold and suggest measures to increase sales. The DDA is expecting suggestions including reduced prices or increased amenities to attract buyers.

1,130 premium DDA flats in Delhi’s Dwarka may be sold in December

The luxury society will have 14 duplex penthouses, 170 super high-income group (HIG) flats, and 946 HIG flats.

DDA to ready 17,800 flats in a year in national capital

Delhi LG asks DDA to plan ‘world-class’ nursery in Ashok Vihar

DDA amends rules to restrict commercial development in multilevel parking

Until now, local bodies or the private concessionaire developing the facility could avail of up to 100 FAR (floor area ratio) irrespective of the plot size, but the height of the parking facility was dependent on the land use of the plot. Now, the permissible FAR has been linked to the plot size.

While the DDA has received 22,179 applications for these flats, a senior DDA official said if any of the flats remains unsold, even after waitlisted applicants are factored in, then those will be allotted on first come, first served basis.

DDA puts over 300 land parcels in Delhi on sale till May 3

In April 2020, DDA offered 5,077 flats in Narela’s Sector G2-G6 to the government for setting up quarantine facilities as the number of Covid cases had started increasing at that time.

Chain-link fencing replaces barbed wires in Delhi’s Sanjay Van

In 2019, activists had filed a complaint with the forest department about animals, such as nilgai, getting stuck in the barbed wires, causing them to get grievously injured or die in the process.
