Two killed, 4 injured in explosion at factory in Bawana

Seven killed, several injured in explosion at illegal Bengal firecracker factory

At least seven people were killed and several injured in an explosion at an illegal firecracker factory in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district. The explosion took place in a two-storey house, critically injuring the building's owner. The incident has triggered a political controversy, with opposition parties demanding a probe by the National Investigation Agency. This is not the first incident of its kind in West Bengal, and the state government has been accused of not taking enough action to stop illegal firecracker manufacturing.

At least 7 killed, several injured in explosion at fireworks factory in Bengal

Bengal minister Rathin Ghosh said police officers told him that seven or eight people died and around six people were injured in the incident.

Fire brigade officials said the explosion was so powerful that it damaged several buildings in the area.(ANI)
