Mundka fire: Manish Lakra, owner of Delhi building where 27 killed, arrested

The police had earlier said the building near Mundka metro station did not have fire NOC.

Fire at Delhi's Narela industrial area, none injured

  • A total of 27 fire tenders were rushed to the fire spot to douse the flames and prevent the blaze from spreading further to other adjacent buildings.

Mundka fire: No factory licence, no building plan, no safety

The fire, which broke out at the illegal building near the Mundka Metro station on Friday evening, was likely caused by a short-circuit on the first floor, the police said.

Mundka fire: Delhi oppn parties allege delay in firefighting, demand probe

  • Delhi chief minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal has announced a compensation of 10 lakh to the victims' kin and 50,000 to those injured. He has also directed a magisterial probe into the fire tragedy, adding that “stringent action” will be taken against whoever is responsible.
