Leopard cub dragged by villagers, dies

Another sub-adult female leopard, was found abandoned in the area on Monday. This leopard was kept at the rescue centre and is reported to be out of danger. The mother leopard is missing.

Malaria cases dip; sharp rise in dengue cases over 2017 in state

While Maharashtra recorded 2,134 cases of dengue till July 31, 2018, it recorded 372 cases till july 31, 2017.
Malaria and dengue cases for the entire 2016 were 23,983 and 6,792 respectively. In 2015, 56,603 malaria cases and 4,936 dengue cases were reported.(Representational Image)

10 tribal students from Maharashtra will attempt to scale Mount Everest

The students also underwent a 20-day training at the central government-run Himalayan Mountaineering Institute in Darjeeling, where they were taught to use mountaineering gear, basics of camping and climate acclimatization, along with physical training at 14000 ft.
