The Indian National Congress party took a jibe at the Prime Minister on the occasion of the 71st Republic Day. The Congress tweeted a screenshot of an online order and said that it had sent a copy of the Constitution to the PM to be read once he has some time off from 'dividing the country'. At a Republic Day event, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi recited the Preamble to the Constitution, a trend common to many anti-CAA protests across the country. Meanwhile, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor claimed that the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 was driven by 'Jinnah's logic' and not MK Gandhi's.
Jharkhand polls: Rahul Gandhi repeats ‘rape capital’ charge to attack BJP
Indian National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi campaigned in Jharkhand on Monday. He delivered speeches in Hazaribagh and Ranchi. Gandhi raised issues regarding farmers and economy to attack the Bharatiya Janata Party. He gave examples of Congress-ruled states to promise a farm loan waiver and a land acquisition process which benefits the poor more. He also raised recent incidents of rape and murder to attack the BJP. Gandhi repeated his charge that India is viewed as 'rape capital' in the world.
