Tokyo Olympic venues lined up, schedule remains the same

IOC postpones 2022 Youth Olympics, says committed to hosting Tokyo Games in 2021

The IOC chief Thomas Bach accepted a proposal by Senegal president Macky Sall to postpone the Youth Olympic Games and the IOC Executive Board, which met online on Wednesday afternoon, gave the move its approval so as to allow more spacing out of events and better planning.

Turbulent Games: Over half of Tokyo respondents want Olympics scrapped

In a telephonic poll conducted by Kyodo News and Tokyo MX television between June 26-28, 51.7 % of the 1,030 respondents hoped the 2021 Games are postponed again or cancelled while 46.3 % want the rescheduled Olympics to go ahead.

Oil companies raise fuel prices

Retail prices of petrol and diesel were first raised by 60 paise a litre each on Sunday followed by similar hikes on Monday. Petrol is now sold in Delhi at Rs 72.46 per litre and diesel at Rs 70.59 a litre, according to the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).
