State recommends DCP Parag Manere’s name for nomination to IPS
Deputy Commissioner of Police Parag Manere, who was suspended in 2021, is among 16 senior police officers recommended for the Indian Police Service (IPS). Only five of them will be inducted this year. Manere was reinstated in August 2022 and a recent departmental inquiry against him was closed.
