FCRA: According to the home ministry dashboard, only 16,829 organisations are registered under FCRA in the country on January 1, Saturday, down from 22,832 organisations listed on Friday.

  • The Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has invited applications for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the academic session 2021-2022. The online registration process began on Monday, May 17.

Court takes cognisance of offence of sedition against Sharjeel Imam

Imam was arrested on January 28 from Bihar’s Jehanabad in the case related to violent protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) near Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) in December last year.

Jamia Millia Islamia to hold semesters in monitored online mode

Keeping in mind the Covid-19 pandemic, Jamia Millia Islamia will hold its semester exams in December in the online mode using the “proctored ” method, which uses technology to monitor a user computer’s webcam and audio to check for unfair means.

The team of scientists from Multidisciplinary Centre for Advanced Research and Studies (MCARS) at JMI along with experts from other institutes have developed a RNA extraction free saliva-based detection technology for COVID-19, it said.
