Night curfew will remain in place in the urban areas of these districts from 8 pm to 6 am. During curfew, those going to a wedding ceremony, people related to essential services, and those travelling in buses, trains and planes will be exempted.

The federal agency recovered 5.5 kg gold worth Rs 2.75 crore from the car that the smugglers were travelling in and later 200 kg of unaccounted silver from the premises of a Jodhpur-based financier.

The special CBI judge, Pooran Kumar Sharma, also ordered that the hotel in question -- the Laxmi Vilas Palace Hotel in Udaipur -- be handed over to the state government. The hotel -- earlier run by the Indian Tourism Development Corporation -- was sold to the Bharat Hotels Limited, which now runs the Lalit group of hotels, in 2002.

The dead include a five-year-old girl and two boys, aged 11 and 10. Police found traces of rat poison and a suicide note in the house, causing them to suspect that the 11 had killed themselves. But murder cannot be ruled out, the police said.
