26-year-old Pune engineer drowns; pool contractor, lifeguards booked

The police action came after Prateek Ramesh Bansode, 26, a resident of Indrayani colony in Atharva park, Talegaon station, Maval, drowned in the swimming pool at Kharadi on Sunday.

Bhima Koregaon anniversary: Pune rural police draw up plan for traffic diversions on Pune-Ahmednagar road

The new traffic arrangement on the entire Pune-Ahmednagar route will come into effect from midnight of December 31, 2018 till midnight of January 1, 2019.

17-year-old in Pune donates brain-dead mother’s organs, saves five lives

The 38-year-old patient from Karvenagar was admitted to Columbia Asia Hospital in Pune’s Kharadi after she suffered severe brain haemorrhage and was declared brain dead on December 14.

World record attempt in Pune through awareness drive on menstrual health and hygiene

Pune teen taken to vacant spot, allegedly strangled to death on her 19th birthday by ex-boyfriend

According to the police, the girl had turned 19 on Wednesday and her former partner approached her saying he would like to cut a cake with her in private. He took her to the secluded spot in the Forest Park near Lohegaon where he assaulted and strangled her to death.

Cops arrest habitual offender involved in 26 robberies in Pune

The man was identified as Himmat Peter D Rebello, a resident of Altius Drome Society in Vadeshwarnagar of Kharadi, Pune. All the 26 cases against him were registered at Yerawada police station, between 2012 and 2015.

When will PMC act against officials involved in bid-rigging?

As reported by Hindustan Times on May 3 ‘Six PMC contractors fined 3.57 crore,’ the Competition Commission of India (CCI) in its final order has imposed a fine of 3.57 crores on six firms for colluding with Pune Municipal Corporation officials and undertook bid rigging while filing tenders for thermal composting garbage plants in 2014.
