Police officer blackmailed husband for money, says wife of Gurugram businessman who shot himself

The wife of businessman Vinod Sharma (59), who shot himself on July 4 and succumbed on July 7, reiterated the demand for a CBI probe, alleging that a senior police officer, who was posted as DCP in Gurugram when the incident took place, was responsible for abetting her husband’s suicide.

Probe panel’s clean chit to panchayat land deal in Gurugram

An inquiry report on alleged misappropriation of a 3,000-square-yard panchayat land in Sikanderpur — where a petrol pump is presently operating — has concluded that there was no violation of norms during the sale of land, although the Haryana government had initially objected to setting up of such a facility there.
