A total of 1,970 people have been made to sign a bond stating they will not create any nuisance and 1,359 have signed an interim bond. “We still have to decide on the action against 2,000 others,” said a police officer.

Kalyani Deshpande’s brother-in-law held for prostitution in Pune

Nilesh Suryakant Deshpande, 42, the brother-in-law of Kalyani, was among the two persons arrested for prostitution. A woman from Uzbekistan was also found in the raid conducted by a team led by police inspector Sanjay Patil of the social security cell.  
Among the arrested, Mujawar was found to be the nephew and close aide of Asha Gawli, Arun Gawli's wife. Yadav works at Asha Gawli's farmhouse in Vadgaon Peer area of Pune and is a close friend of Mobin. Pathare is the youth representative of the Akhil Bharatiya Sena, a political party established by Gawli, according to police inspector Dayanand Gawade of LCB. The police are on a lookout for two other people, including a woman, in the case.(HT REPRESENTATIVE PHOTO)

Arun Gawli gang members arrested by Pune rural police for extortion in Manchar

According to LCB officials, the three were identified as close aides of Gawli, who was arrested in 2008 and convicted in 2010 by a special Maharashtra control of organised crime act (MCOCA) court for the murder of Kamlakar Jamsandekar, a Shiv Sena member and corporator from Mumbai.
