MSRTC resumes inter-district bus services after five months

The Maharashtra government on Wednesday permitted the state-owned undertaking to re-start inter-district bus operations, which were stopped in March after the enforcement of lockdown to contain the spread of Covid-19.

In Mumbai, the worst-hit city in the country, the Covid-19 case count crossed the 14,000 mark as 782 cases were registered in a day, the second highest so far. Mumbai’s case count is now at 14,521. On Sunday, 875 cases were recorded. The death toll in Mumbai also reached 528.
