Normal life hit in Andhra, Telangana

Parents burn alive son who harassed them, say police

According to police, at around 7 pm on Tuesday, Chandra came home in an inebriated condition and picked up quarrel with his parents. “Frustrated with him, Prabhakar and Vimala tied his hands, doused him with petrol and set him ablaze. He died within minutes,” police said.

Supreme Court launches pilot project in Telangana’s Warangal to integrate police stations, courts

With inter-operable criminal justice system (ICJS), an initiative of the apex court’s eCommittee, in place, the courts can access live data of FIRs and charge sheets from the police, provided both are ready, in electronic form in the police system. Judges will have access to details of cases, FIR numbers, names of the accused and details of arrest the moment they are uploaded into the system.
