Actor Rachel McAdams is reportedly in talks with the makers of True Detective for the lead role in the second season of the crime drama TV series. The 35-year-old is competing with the likes of Elisabeth Moss and Michelle Forbes for the role, reports contactmusic.com.

It is believed that there will be four lead parts, three of which are male. If McAdams joins the show, she may be working alongside Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch and Vince Vaughn.
