TV personality Vikas Gupta threatened actor Shilpa Shinde on Sunday’s episode of Bigg Boss 11 that he would “reveal” her secret if she continued to make personal attacks on him. The outburst came after Shilpa mentioned Parth Samarthan who had accused Vikas of sexual assault.
So what is this dark secret that might scare Shilpa? The fact that she almost married co-star Romit Raj and how things soured between the two.
Shilpa was all set to marry Romit in 2009 but the grand Goa wedding was called off just days ahead of the D-day after the two had a fall out. Romit and Shilpa met on the sets of the TV show Maayka (2007-2009) and soon decided to get hitched.
In an interview to Spotboye last year, Shilpa opened up about the break up. “I don’t want to dig up the past. But all I will say is that it is wrong for a man to expect his wife to break ties with her parents,” Shilpa told the tabloid.
She also said in an interview to India Today, “My wedding preparations were done, my wedding outfit was ready, I had even bought my jewellery and the cards were also printed. It is very sad that I had to call off my marriage one month prior to the actual date. But I feel it is a wise decision and I am very happy that at least now I won’t have to make adjustments for each and every single thing. I will now be able to take my own decisions.”
