Crime Patrol actor Kamlesh Pandey commits suicide?

TV actor Kamlesh Pandey reportedly shot himself to death late Tuesday in Jabalpur where he was visiting his sister-in-law.

TV actor Kamlesh Pandey reportedly committed suicide Tuesday in Jabalpur where he was visiting his sister-in-law. The Katni-based actor, who played the role of a police inspector in popular TV serial Crime Patrol, was shot dead in Sanjeevani Nagar locality in Jabalpur.

Kamlesh has worked in several episodes of Crime Patrol.

Kamlesh’s sister-in-law Anjani Chaturvedi was hosting her daughter’s wedding to which Kamlesh was allegedly not invited. Kamlesh was upset about this. He got drunk and created chaos before pulling out a revolver. He then fired in the air and then shot himself in the chest.

While close relatives of the 38-year-old actor claimed that he shot self in the chest, the Jabalpur police said the matter is still being investigated. City SP (Gorakhpur-Jabalpur) Anju Patle said his relatives told police that Kamlesh was drunk and fired two gunshots with a country-made gun he possessed. “His relatives claimed that one shot fired by him (Kamlesh Pandey) hit the roof of a room while the other injured him in his chest.” Patle said

“Pandey allegedly was a short-tempered person. The police have seized a pistol and a liquor bottle from the spot,” she added.

The police are investigating whether the deceased received a bullet from the same pistol or some other weapon and if there was anyone else present at the site of the incident apart from his relatives.
