It is that time of the year again when all the busy actors from the industry will join their hands and welcome Lord Ganesha. This time, too, the festival will be celebrated with gusto and vigour. Here, a couple of stars share their festive plans with us.

Debina Bonnerjee
My husband Gurmeet (Choudhary) and I have been celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi for the past five years. We love to call our family and friends over for puja. We also enjoy decorating our home. I dress traditionally for the festival. We (Gurmeet and she) usually colour coordinate our outfits. We also make it a point to bring an eco-friendly idol, which we immerse after a day and a half.

My wife Shefali (Jariwala) has been celebrating Ganesh Chathurthi for the past 17 years. We continued to celebrate the festival even after we got married in 2014. It is big festival for us, and we look forward to it every year. We begin our preparation for the festival a week in advance. We do everything for the lord, from decorating the house to cooking for him. Our decoration follows a different theme every year. Nearly 80 guests visit us on the day.

Being a Maharashtrian, I celebrate Ganesh Chathurthi fondly every year. I eagerly wait for the festival. This time around, I will keep the idol for ten days at my house. I also have a two-day off, so I will be in his seva (worship) for that period. I will enjoy the festival with my family and friends. We will also prepare different types of prasad on each of these days.
Ragini Khanna
I have been celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi for twenty years. This year, it will be a low-key affair, as we have suffered two losses in our family. We will have a few family members visiting us. The mandap will be decorated with fruits and eco-friendly materials.
Kinshuk Vaidya
We will be celebrating Ganpati for the 10th time. We have therefore decided to keep the idol at home for 10 days. I love the festival and I am really excited about it. There is a lot of positive energy during the occasion. To welcome the lord, I usually decorate the house. Although I will be busy with a shoot, I will personally look into the decoration of the house.
